Make Money With Adsense With The Help Of Google Adwords
| Average rating: Rate this article |
I am going to talk about a principle to make money by combining two Google services, Google Adwords and Google Adsense. Let me remind you that i'm just telling you the principle. It is advised that you make up your own schema with your own values for the amounts of money you are willing to pay etc. I am not going to show you my way, because that would be giving away my money.
First lets talk about the services. Google Adwords is a powerful tool for advertisers to promote their products (or websites). There are other programs for advertisers as well but i will only cover Google Adwords in this article.
Google Adsense is a tool for publishers to start showing ads (advertisements) on their website. For each click made on an ad, the publisher gets some money.
Who is an advertiser? Advertiser is the one who pays money to promote his/her product or products. If an advertiser needs to generate more sales, he needs to promote his product. Google Adwords will offer advertisers an excellent service to promote anything to millions and millions of potential clients all over the internet.
How does it all work? I'll make everything simple for you. An advertisers registers with an advertiser program, then he chooses the keywords for the ad he wants to promote (really important step), pays $5 for the start-up fee and eventually pays minimum of $0.12 for each click. He can choose the text of his ad and everything, too.
Huh? A little more patience, please. His ad will be shown on the websites who have registered with Google Adsense program. It will be shown on the publishers' websites. He then chooses how much he wants to pay for a click to be made.
Don't misunderstand. No one makes the click because it makes money for the website owner (Google fights with this fraud). If anyone is interested in your ad, he or she will click on it (remember, Google fights fraud clicks so you shouldn't be afraid of that).
For each click you need to pay. The more you are willing to pay for a click, the more will be YOUR ads shown, not the competitors. That doesn't mean that if you pay the minimum of $0.12, your ads will not be shown at all. They will be shown, but they MIGHT not attend as well as the ads for what people have paid more.
Let's say you want to generate 100 clicks for your product or website. You then define a price for the clicks. Let's say you want to pay the minimum, $0.12 for each click. Multiply this with 100 and you get $12. You need to pay 12 dollars to get 100 clicks.
If 100 clicks have been gathered, Google stops showing the ad that was requesting those clicks. It's recommended to use smart keywords (you need to do A LOT of work with the keywords before you choose your right ones) as they might generate more targeted leads and get better results.
Okay, now you know how this part works, but still, how do you make money with Adwords? You make money with Adsense (or by selling a product, but that's another article) with the help of Adwords. Both are Google's services.
You must have a website. It's recommended that it's a quality website. You should have some quality content with keywords on the website. You should also have adsense code to load ads on your website. The more quality content and quality keywords you have, the more money the adsense will make you.
So lets say you are making $1 from each click made on the ads on your website. It's hard to get keywords and ads to make so much money with each click. You also want to target some interested people to your site, lets say, those same 100 people for what you've paid 12 dollars. If you mange to get at least 12% of them to click on your ads, it will get you your 12 dollars back. If you manage to make 20% of them to click on your ads, you will get your 12 dollars back + you will make 8 dollars extra ! Let me tell you that to get 20% of visitors to click on your ads is really hard and almost impossible (NOT impossible) and majority of the ones who have achieved this have had their google account banned (because they cheated, they forced visitors to click).
Ok, so, what would be a nicer schema? I think you can handle this problem yourself. A nice tip would be not to goal 8 dollars a day but for a start, 3-5 dollars a day. Get some free traffic (read seo articles) and then pay for the traffic (we talked about that in this article). Paid traffic is more likely to really be interested in your website's topic and is more likely to click on the ads on your website.
Try to have quality content and ads that generate $0.30 - 0.40 from each click. Then try to get at least 10 clicks a day to get $3 - 4. The more traffic you have, the more likely you are going to get those clicks. If you have 100 visitors a day, you need 10% of them to click to get 3 - 4 dollars a day. If you have 1000 visitors, you need only 1% of them to click on the ads on your site and that is more real than to get 20% of the visitors to click on your ads.
