How it works?

The main concept of this tool is simple yet effective. We have several hundreds of randomly chosen real user queries. Everyday we make search requests for these queries in the three major search engines: Google, Yahoo and MSN. Then we grab search results for the first 10 matches, and compare them with the data for the previous day.

So what are the parameters?

This time we've decided to calculate two parameters, we call them "Position changed" and "Gone from Top 10". "Position changed" is the percent of pages that changed their place in SERPs compared to the previous day check. "Gone from Top 10" is the parameter determining how many "yesterday" pages were gone "today" from the first 10 search results. So if some day for some search engine we will see a big raise on these parameters, we can suppose that significant changes in the algorithms of this search engine have been introduced.
