About
The Arcot Network is a payment authentication network that enables card issuers, merchants, and payment processors to authenticate cardholder identity during online payments.
It is built on the 3-D Secure protocol that Arcot co-created with 
Visa in 2001, and provides fraud scoring based on the Arcot Global Data Consortium, machine learning rules for automated authentication decisions, and exemption handling for Strong Customer Authentication and PSD2 compliance.
Visa is a global payment network processor that enables banks, merchants, and cardholders to conduct debit, credit, and prepaid transactions across more than 200 countries and territories.
It operates a centralized and modular payments network called VisaNet, which supports card-not-present payments via RESTful APIs, token-based mobile and contactless payments, and provides merchants with data analytics and fraud-monitoring tools.
