About

CakePHP is a rapid development framework for PHP that uses MVC, front controller, associative data mapping and active record patterns to help developers build web applications faster.

It includes an ORM and query builder, integrated scaffolding and code generation tools, built-in validation and security against XSS, CSRF, and SQL injections, flexible routing and template helpers, i18n support, caching, and a large plugin ecosystem.

Kohana is a deprecated open-source PHP framework that was last updated in 2016. It is no longer maintained, though a community fork called Koseven continues support for projects still using the framework.
