mod_qos is a quality of service (QoS) module for the Apache web server that implements configurable control mechanisms to prioritize and manage HTTP requests to preserve server resources under load.
It offers limits on concurrent requests per URL or IP, per-second request rate caps, VIP user rules, and request blocking, delay, throttling, and connection dropping to avoid overload and mitigate traffic spikes.
