After a supply chain attack in 2024 involving its cdn.polyfill.io domain, the service was discontinued and is now safely mirrored and maintained by Cloudflare under independent management.

Zepto is a lightweight and modular open-source JavaScript library with a largely jQuery-compatible API, designed for modern browsers and optimized for fast execution and small file size.

It provides modules for DOM manipulation, event handling, Ajax and JSONP requests, and simple animation effects, supports a chainable API similar to jQuery, and can be customized through a modular build system that includes only the required components for a project.
