About

Jitsi is a set of open-source projects for secure video conferencing that includes components such as Jitsi Meet for web and mobile conferencing and Jitsi Videobridge for scalable media routing.

It is built on WebRTC standards and uses a selective forwarding architecture that relays audio and video streams without mixing, supports features such as simulcast, bandwidth estimation, recording and streaming via Jibri (Jitsi Broadcasting Infrastructure), and SIP integration via Jigasi (Jitsi Gateway to SIP).

Zoom is a cloud-based communications platform that enables video meetings, audio conferencing, phone calls, and team chat across devices.

It includes HD video and audio, meetings for up to 1,000 participants with view options up to 49 videos on screen, screen sharing and remote control, meeting recording and transcripts, breakout rooms, virtual backgrounds, webinar hosting, cloud phone services, and end-to-end encryption options.
