About

Kubernetes, also known as K8s, is an open-source container orchestration system for automating the deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications across clusters of machines.

It provides horizontal and vertical autoscaling, automated rollouts and rollbacks of application updates, service discovery and built-in load balancing, storage orchestration with persistent volumes, and self-healing capabilities.

LXC is a low-level Linux container runtime that provides operating-system-level virtualization through tools, templates, APIs, and language bindings for creating and managing system containers.

It uses Linux kernel features such as namespaces, cgroups, AppArmor, and seccomp isolation, supports unprivileged containers, live migration, multiple storage backends and network types, and includes image templates for distributions such as Ubuntu, Debian, and Alpine.
