About
mod_python is an Apache web server module that embeds the Python interpreter within the server, allowing Python code to run many times faster than traditional CGI by executing inside persistent Apache processes.
It provides a Python API for direct access to Apache internals, keeps interpreter state between requests, supports request handlers and URL mapping, offers session handling with memory or dbm storage, and enables authentication and authorization logic within Python code.
mod_ssl provides SSL v3 and TLS v1.x support for the Apache HTTP Server.
