About
Apple Pay is a mobile payment and digital wallet service by Apple that lets users make secure contactless and online payments with iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad, Mac, and Vision Pro devices.
It supports tap-to-pay in stores using NFC, payments in apps and on the web, secure tokenization that hides actual card numbers from merchants, biometric authentication such as Face ID or Touch ID, and storage of credit, debit, and prepaid cards in Wallet.
The Arcot Network is a payment authentication network that enables card issuers, merchants, and payment processors to authenticate cardholder identity during online payments.
It is built on the 3-D Secure protocol that Arcot co-created with 
Visa in 2001, and provides fraud scoring based on the Arcot Global Data Consortium, machine learning rules for automated authentication decisions, and exemption handling for Strong Customer Authentication and PSD2 compliance.
