Istio is an open-source service mesh that secures, connects, and monitors services in

Envoy proxies injected into each service or in a proxy-free ambient mode, and provides canary releases, load balancing, circuit breakers, mutual TLS authentication, and observability through metrics, logs, and distributed traces for Prometheus and

KrakenD is an open-source, high-performance, stateless API gateway written in

It aggregates responses from multiple microservices into a single endpoint, provides rate limiting, circuit breaking, traffic shadowing, and bot detection, supports 
JWT,
